My name is Angela Lara and I am a fine art wedding and portrait photographer based in Virginia Beach, Va. My story with photography really starts with my first semester of college, It was my very first class, Photography 101, when I realized that I wanted to be a photographer and photograph people, especially people in love.

I grew up watching old romantic classics and black and white movies, reading Pride and Prejudice and wondering how my love story would unfold someday. I loved everything about photography, how emotion and special moments were captured to the creative composition. I continued to learn the technical side of how to use my camera and took another course in photography.

I finished college with a degree in business so that one day I could own my own business. I continued my other hobbies, one of which was horseback riding. My obsession of horses finally led me to become the owner of my very own beloved horse, Phoenix. Staying busy with my job at the time and horse, I still managed to take photos of friends and family and continued to learn all I could about taking photographs. After years of being a hopeless romantic, I married my best friend and better half in 2014 and settled down in the suburbs of Virginia Beach with all of my adorable cats and hound dog, Nelly. Being happily married, I finally decided to pursue my longing to own my own photography business and capture other couples in love. The ultimate goal for me, as a photographer, is to document and curate classic and clean images that will last for generations. I used natural light and capture candid moments as well as posed to give my clients a complete storyline.

As a natural light photographer, I love the outdoors, especially the beach, where I like my mom, have become not only a crazy cat lady but also a sea shell hoarder. People are my favorite to photograph especially in the beautiful nature God has made as our canvas. There is a verse in the Scriptures where is says..."I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well'"

In conclusion, people are wonderful and I love being a part of memories of God's most amazing creation
